American Film Institute (AFI), was established in 1967 by the National Endowment for the Arts with the goal to provide leadership in screen education. The AFI Conservatory focuses on hands on experiences as training for their students. As a non-profit organization, the institute runs through funding from donations coming from large and small corporations as well as individuals and its AFI membership programs.
The Julliard School - Drama Division established in 1968 by renowned director-producer and theatre administrator John Houseman and the French director-actor Michel Saint-Denis. After four decades, the Drama Division has become one of the respected training ground for acting in the english speaking countries.
